Canterbury Market started as a small operation in the 1980’s by Tom Tsakalos in Canterbury Plaza. From there, the previous owners Richard and Priscilla Hurley operated Canterbury Liquors & Pantry for over 30 years. During that time the pantry portion of the business faded as the demand for an ever-increasing variety of Wine, Liquor, and Beer took over the space. In 2016 , the Hurley family decided to retire and sell their business to the Cape Cod Markets family. Canterbury Market has been transformed into a modern convenience store with the best selection of Fine Wines, Liquor and Beer, in Sandwich.
